We have a new non-profit organization in Donelson! GROW Enrichment is an educational program offering garden-based learning using skills in natural sciences and teaching a wide variety of subjects through hands-on activity. Started by Maplecrest neighbors Jonathan & Ginger-Rose Krueck, they are beginning classes soon and have a GoFund Me campaign to help them get started.
I had the pleasure of attending the Metro Parks Board meeting last month with Councilman Phil Claiborne (Friends of Two Rivers Mansion founder and 2015 President), Treasurer Willie McDonald and Secretary Marilyn Swing. CM Claiborne gave a report to the board about the great success the Friends of Two Rivers Mansion continues to have and our future plans. It’s been a big blessing to be part of the restoration, preservation and increased awareness of this historic jewel in Donelson.
Fiddler on the Roof is a wonderful production of incredible singing and acting and is going on now at The Larry Keeton Theater. I had the opportunity to see the dress rehearsal and as always, the show is a big hit. Visit the website at the link above for times and tickets.
