The Metro Nashville Police Department’s Citizen Policy Academy has sign-ups through February 17. It may already be full as it fills up quickly, but visit this link to get more info.
Metro Public Works Brush and Leaf Collection begins soon for our area. They begin in the Pennington Bend area. Note: The Brush Crews sometimes go into the next zone when finished with the prior zone to stay ahead of demand in case of storms or equipment issues. They will run the entire zone again starting on the scheduled date. Visit the link above for the brush do’s and don’ts.
Good news for those that use the MTA Route 6 bus on Lebanon Pike. The route now has improved weekday midday service, increasing frequency from 1 hour 40 minutes down to every hour. Visit this link for the complete presentation given recently for all updates for Davidson County.
The Mayor’s Office of Neighborhoods is hosting their second session for neighborhood leaders. The first session was very well attended. This next one will focus on infrastructure. Sign up at this link.
A couple weeks ago I had the pleasure of attending the birthday lunch for one of our neighbors, Paul Darden, who turned 84. A long-time member of 1st Baptist Church Nashville, Paul was surrounded by good friends and members of the congregation. Their Thursday Business Lunch series are weekly and great opportunities to gather and enjoy a meal with a short program of wonderful music and a five-minute devotion.
