The Friends of Two Rivers Mansion had a successful annual Phil the House with Arts & Friends event this past month that hit the front page of The Tennessean a few days prior. As part, we dedicated the restoration of the fountain and boxwood garden by honored our benefactor of the project, William Bransford Blundin, a cousin of Mrs. Louise Bransford McGavock, who was the last member of the family to reside at Two Rivers Mansion. Check out the video of the dedication ceremony on my website here.
The Metro Historic Commission is recommending a historic overlay for 14 Metro properties including two here in the 15th District. Lock Two and Buchanan Station Cemetery are worthy properties with great histories that will receive protections in order to tell their stories for generations to come. Check out the news story here.
